NGB and Club Support

We strive to be an athlete ally, protecting and empowering athletes of all levels, ages, and abilities. In 2017, we were given a congressional mandate to end abuse in sport. Today, we serve as a leader in the important effort to address and respond to emotional, physical, and sexual abuse across the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement.

Championing athlete safety and well-being takes teamwork and close collaboration with you, the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic National Governing Bodies (NGBs) and the local organizations and clubs that serve as the foundation of American sport. Together, through accountability, training, and safeguarding policies, our actions can empower your athletes to thrive.

Our Mission

Achieving our mission relies heavily on working with you, National Governing Bodies (NGBs) and local clubs. Our independent status and congressional authorization (Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017) designates the U.S. Center for SafeSport as the leader in the movement to end emotional, physical, and sexual abuse of amateur athletes. Together, we provide accountability and encouragement to take the right steps ensuring that talented athletes, coaches and members of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) are protected and empowered.
